See, that name doesn't make sense in Texas because we say pee-cahn instead of pee-can. So, if you order that ice cream and say, "Yes, Pe-cahn" it sounds you're from Canada, which can get you shot in certain parts of Texas.

Yeah, I get that more than you think. I guess I lived in LA and TX long enough (13.5 years total) for y'all to warp my pronunciation of pecan. I tried to tell my husband about the new flavor, and messed up the punchline of the question "What's Ben and Jerry's new inaugural ice cream flavor?" by answering "Yes, pe-cahn". I felt so...Canadian....
